What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a relaxed state where the subconscious mind is open to making changes, the subconscious mind also holds permanent memories, habits and behaviours so when hypnosis takes place the subconscious mind is at the forefront and is able to accept NEW suggestions as its truth.

What Hypnosis is not.

Hypnosis is not mind control and the subconscious mind will only accept suggestions that you agree with. You cannot be made to do anything against your will in hypnosis, you are always in complete control. Another false belief is that you are asleep but this is also incorrect, as hypnosis is highly focused attention or concentration often associated with relaxation. Clinical Hypnotherapy bares no resemblance to stage hypnotism as that is a theatrical performance whereas clinical Hypnotherapy can bring about fantastic results in changing bad habits, negative thinking, anxiety, weight loss and many other areas.

Why the subconscious?

The subconscious mind is strong, protective and stubborn its often what holds us back from achieving our conscious goals. Hypnosis aligns your subconscious mind with your conscious goals so the conscious and subconscious are working together.
