What is Mindfulness coaching?
It’s easy to stop noticing what is happening around us, mindfulness focusses your attention on the present moment – to your own thoughts and feelings and therefore what’s happening in the world around you and can help improve your health, mental wellbeing and life.
Mindfulness is about allowing ourselves to see the present moment clearly and when we do that it can positively change the way we see ourselves and the life we lead.
An important part of mindfulness is reconnecting with our bodies and the sensations, sounds, smells, tastes and an awareness of our thoughts and feelings as they happen moment to moment.
Anyone can learn mindfulness techniques and it can be practiced anywhere and it is an especially helpful approach if you realise that, for several minutes you have been trapped in reliving past problems or pre-living future worries.
Mindfulness is being used more and more for its encouraging benefits within the Health sector, Education, Prisons, in the workplace and it has a definite role to play in our everyday life.
